I started out working as an apprentice with my father, who was an owner/painter for 40 years.  I worked with him for eight (8) years.

After studying under him and learning painting, finishing and staining techniques, I went to work at Mercury Paint Company as a sales technician. I became a coatings specialist, mixing paint for customers, recommending products and finishes and assisting in any way I could.  I enjoyed working with the customers and learning more about the products. I was there a total of 7 years and managed the Flint, MI store for three (3) of those years.

After the store closed I opened my own business, Glenn Sills Painting Service, and have been a sole proprietor for over 20 years doing what I enjoy doing; working with clients, recommending products and finishes and having satisfied customers.
